ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — State wildlife managers are making changes to the September Canada goose hunting season around New York to trim a goose population that continues to be too high in many areas.

New York residents and visitors can fish without a fishing license the weekend of June 29th and 30th at any of the state's lakes, ponds, rivers or streams.
