UPDATE: 02/24/2015 07:28am The truck has been cleared from the road.  All traffic advisories in the area have been lifted.

UPDATE: 02/23/2015 11:31am New York State Police are saying that several vehicles were involved in an accident that occurred between mile markers 266 and 268 during what is being described as "a period of low visibility."

BREAKING 02/13/2015  9:41am: A multi-vehicle accident is being reported near Dyke Road on Route 5S in Utica.  The accident is being cleared.  The possible extent of injuries and property damage is not known at this time.

An accident on Route 8 northbound in Washington Mills ahs traffic backed up to New Hartford.

Route 12 in New Hartford is closed until further notice.

UPDATE: 01/09/2015 9:57pm I-90 Remains closed in both directions between Exit 53 (Downtown Buffalo - Canada/I-190) and Exit 61 (Ripley / Shortman Road). The I-190 southbound ramp to westbound I-90 remains closed.

UPDATE: 12/23/2014 3:58pm The victim of last night's fatal crash on State Route 12 in has been identified as 40-year old Mary Khiemdavanh of Utica.  The investigation is continuing and anyone with information that may be helpful to police is asked to call them.
