Utica Police Officer Allegedly Hit With Frying Pan
A Utica man is facing charges after allegedly hitting a Utica Police officer in the head with a frying pan.
The officer was responding to a home on Schuyler Street for an argument early this morning.
Police say the officer was able to grab 53-year old Julius Brown's arm to prevent him from striking her again and he was taken into custody.
Brown was charged with assault, criminal possession of a weapon and obstructing governmental administration.
The officer was treated at the hospital for a head wound.
