Volunteers Paint Fire Hydrants In South Utica
Fire hydrants and sign posts in South Utica now have a fresh coat of paint.
James Field of Whitesboro, who's working on his Boy Scout Eagle badge, coordinated a neighborhood painting effort for his Community Service project.
Field says he recruited the volunteers through his Boy Scout Troop and his church.
About a dozen volunteers spent Friday morning painting 50 fire hydrants and 150 street signs in the neighborhood surrounding Gilmore Village.
