1.8 million boxes of Cheerios and Honey Nut Cheerios are being recalled. General Mills is recalling the 'gluten-free' cereal produced at its Lodi, California facility after an accidental wheat contamination.

This voluntary recall includes four days production of original (yellow box) Cheerios, and thirteen days of production of Honey Nut Cheerios.

To determine if the cereal is affected, check the "better if used by" codes of the affected boxes.

Anyone with wheat allergies, celiac disease, or gluten intolerance should not consume products bearing the affected code dates and should contact General Mills for a replacement or full refund.
