The folks from Made in Utica are happy to announce the return of the popular 'Barks & Brews' event at Handshake.City.

The dog-focused and friendly event will take place on Sunday, July 9th from Noon to 4 p.m. The event will be at the container park in Bagg's Square and is presented by A Dog's Day Out Doggie Day Care.

Not only is it a cool opportunity for you to bring your dogs out to socialize with other dogs, you can socialize over local craft beer with others.

Local breweries that will feature their beers include Woodland Brewery and Copper City Brewing.

The event is free and open to the public, but organizers encourage event attendees to purchase a "Pawshake Membership." A release from Made In Utica states,

The pet Membership is for those who want exclusive, commemorative goods while making a charitable contribution to the continuous improvement of Handshake.City. Members will receive commemorative items such as a custom engraved dog tag, secret DIY Made In Utica dog treat recipe and free tote bag with frisbee, food scoop and toy. Memberships are available at www.handshake.city/shop or at the event.

The event is open to people of all ages, but you are asked to make sure your dog is properly leashed and up-to-date on their rabies and other vaccines. For more information on the event or the "Pawshake Membership" go to www.handshake.city.
