Ava Woman Pleads Guilty To Concealment Of Human Corpse
An Ava woman has pleaded guilty in Oneida County Court to concealment of a human corpse.
26-year old Brianna Howard is accused of disposing of her newborn baby after giving birth last December.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s said they had received a complaint from Rome Memorial Hospital’s Prenatal Care Services after Howard, who was being treated at the hospital, suddenly stopped coming to her appointments.
After several attempts to contact the patient, they were informed that the baby had died.
The body of baby still hasn't been found.
Howard will be sentenced in April to one-and-half to three years in state prison.
