Bass Pro Shops Now Open In North Utica

Bass Pro Shops in Utica opened its doors to a capacity crowd tonight.

Utica's newest outdoor supply store is the 60th Bass Pro Shops to open across the United States in the last 42 years.

Founder Johnny Morris said he was on cloud nine from the turnout of local shoppers who came out to see the ribbon cutting.

He said Utica is special because it reminds him of where he started.

Bass Pro's "Evening of Conservation" proceeds will see a portion of every dollar spent on opening night donated to wildlife conservation.
