A teenager from Cazenovia is headed home after participating in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Thirteen-year-old Stephen Ponzer was eliminated by the word "trouvaille."

MetroSource quotes the eighth grader as saying that he has never been a fan of French words.

New York State is still represented.  A 14-year-old from Jefferson County has advanced to the next round of 49 contestants.
