Florida Considers Removing Confederate Flag from Senate Seal
A committee will discuss making changes to the seal of the Florida Senate today.
The senate seal, which includes depictions of a Confederate flag and four others that have flown over the state throughout its history, has come under criticism since the summer.
A shooter, who in June killed parishioners at a church in South Carolina, used the Confederate flag in a picture identifying himself. Since then some have called into question the Confederate flag and its use as a possible symbol of racism.
The flag of the State of Florida does not include any depiction of the Confederate flag.
