Galimo Announces Run For Utica Common Council President

A Utica business owner is running for Utica Common Council President.

Judy Galimo, Owner and CFO of LB Security and Investigations, has announced her candidacy for the post.

Galimo, a Democrat, serves on the Executive Board of both the Abraham House and ALS of Utica.

Galimo said "Involvement within our City is something that has always been important to me.  I have raised a family and have a successful business in Utica.  My experiences as a business person as well as my work with various non for profits and community organizations gives me a unique perspective to understanding what the people who live in the City of Utica need and expect from local government.  Our city is growing and I want to have an active role in moving our city forward in a positive direction."

The Common Council President's seat is currently held by Republican Michael Galime.
