"Get to Know a New Downtown."  That's the slogan of the new branding effort for Downtown Utica.

The branding and new logo were unveiled last night at the Stanley Theater in Utica, along with the results of a Downtown Utica public survey conducted in November and December.

Michelle Truett of 484 Design, says one of the biggest things that came out of the survey was the need to change the perception of Downtown Utica.

Truett says nearly 900 people completed the 26 question survey.

Developing a brand identity for Downtown is identified as a goal in the City's Master Plan.

Truett says they'll be be officially launching the new branding effort in May.
