A chunck of the NBA Playoffs will be without the colorful costumes and courtside interviews that is Craig Sager as he undergoes treatment for acute myleoid lukemia.

During Sunday's Game 1 of the opening round between the Spurs and Mavericks, San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich - who is not always thrilled about being yanked out of team huddles to participate in the mandatory interviews - sent a heartfelt message to the notable reporter. It came as Craig Sager Jr., was filling in for his father:

As noted above, Popovich has voiced his displeasure with doing the mandatory between-quarter interviews, and often he had fun taking it out on the elder Sager.
