Holland Patent Teen Sentenced In Death Of Father

The Holland Patent teen who admitted to killing his step-father was sentenced today in Oneida County Court.

17-year old Austin Parker will spend 20 years to life behind bars after previously pleading guilty to second-degree murder.

Authorities say Austin shot and killed 52-year old Steven Parker in May and hid his body in the backyard of their home on Route 365.

The father’s body wasn’t discovered until late June.
