Alcoholic Beverage Combusts into Fireball

Three people were injured over the weekend, one seriously, when an alcoholic beverage combusted into a massive fireball at the Courtside Bar and Grill in downtown Binghamton; the harrowing incident was caught on video.

According to a report from BinghamtonHomepage.com, the incident happened on Friday night, December 27th, at around 10:45 pm.

Three Were Injured, One Seriously

That's when, according to the source, members of the Binghamton Police and Fire Department were dispatched to the bar located at 56 Court Street for a report of a subject on fire. Upon arrival, first responders located three individuals suffering from burns, the source stated.

According to the report, an unidentified 20-year-old female sustained serious physical injury from the incident. She was rushed to Upstate Medical in Syracuse for treatment, while the other two were treated by medics at the scene.
According to the source, the investigation determined that the patrons were served a beverage lit on fire before being served. When the drink combusted, it caused a significant blast of fire and resulted in injuries.

A video of the incident was uploaded to Reddit, and we warn you that it is somewhat graphic. In the video, you can see patrons huddled up in front of the bar waiting for their drink when a giant fireball explodes from the other side, sending people flying.

At least two individuals are seen trying to flee the area while extinguishing flames from their bodies.

Binghamton Police, according to the report, have charged 28-year-old Camlyn Lyons of Vestal with the Unlawful Sale of an Alcoholic Beverage to a Person Under the Age of 21, an unclassified misdemeanor. It’s unclear whether other charges may be filed as this investigation is ongoing.
