The Oneida County Department of Public Works will begin work to refurbish Koening Road in the Town of Floyd on Friday.

The 2.1 mile stretch of road will be re-paved  from Route 365 to Route 88.

The re-paving is expected to take two day to complete and traffic will be reduced to one lane during the road work.

The remainder of the $375,000 project, which includes drainage work and guardrail replacement, is expected to be completed before the end of the construction season.

Meanwhile, Road work is being done at the intersection of Wurz and Leland Avenues in North Utica starting today.  Crews will also be working on Thursday and Friday mornings.

Due to the repair work, Wurz Ave from Genesee St to Leland Ave will be closed to all thru traffic from 4:00 this afternoon to some time Friday.

In addition, Leland Ave will be reduced to one lane of traffic on Thursday and Friday.
