San Francisco, CA (WIBX) - Three men are facing charges after attempting to sell a grenade launcher to an undercover ATF agent, but at least one is awaiting his trial outside of jail thanks to a book deal of sorts.

Otis Mobley, Jr. is 23 years old and was arrested along with his cousin, 18-year old Khusar Mobley and 19-year old Dmarce Hutcherson.

At his bond hearing Mobley asked U.S. District Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers if he could be released pending the hearing.  She agreed, provided that he read a book for at least an hour a day and do a book report for at least half an hour afterward.

Prosecutors are expected to appeal the release but Judge Rogers is preparing a reading list for Mobley, who is also wearing a GPS-equipped ankle bracelet, in the meantime.

There is no word on whether Hutcherson and Mobley have requested similar "deals."  Hutcherson was shot and wounded during the arrest and Khusar Mobley was taken into custody without incident.
