Get ready for another summer filled with free concerts in Utica!

Utica is one of fifteen small to mid-sized cities and towns to be chosen through voting to receive $25,000 in matching funds to host a free 10 week concert series.

The city will now get a $25,000 matching funds grant to host ten outdoor concerts this summer at Kopernik Park in downtown Utica.

Last summer, Utica was also one of the 15 nationwide cities to host the Levitt AMP series with funds from Levitt and the Community Foundation of Herkimer and Oneida Counties.

“The concerts spurred business, brought life to an underutilized city park and drew thousands of people to Utica from across the Mohawk Valley,” said Caroline Williams of Rust 2 Green Utica Urban Studio.

Concertgoers also praised the concert series,

“Great acts, great diversity of style – Location is perfect – Really well done!”

“I love how it’s bringing the community together and especially livening up the Oneida Square area.”

Between Saranac Thursdays and a second year of this concert series, Utica will definitely be rocking come summer 2017!
