New York Adds 25,000 Private Sector Jobs In June

New York state's private sector job count increased by 25,000 last month.

That's according to preliminary figures released by the New York State Department of Labor.

It's the 19th straight month of private sector job growth in the state.

That raises New York's private sector job count to an all-time high of 7,589,600.

New York is one of only 19 states to have regained all private sector jobs lost during the recession.

Meanwhile, the state's unemployment rate fell to 6.6% percent in June, reaching its lowest level since November 2008.
