Rome, NY (WIBX) - The City of Rome is in line to get up to $425,000 to upgrade its prison. The Office of General Services, headed by native Roman and the area's former Assemblywoman, RoAnn Destito, just announced the bids for the construction project.

If approved, the money will go toward upgrading building 55 of the Mohawk Correctional Facility. The four separate bids are for construction, electrical, HVAC and plumbing work.
