Oneida County DPW Commissioner Elected NYSCHSA President

Oneida County Commissioner of Public Works Dennis Davis has been elected President of the New York State County Highway Superintendents Association.

Davis was elected at the association's annual Winter Conference and Tradeshow held last week in Saratoga Springs.

Advocacy and participation in the state legislative and budget processes to secure road and bridge funding is a critical part of the association's mission.

“Local Roads Matter! is our unifying theme,” Davis said. “I want to thank NYS Department of Transportation Executive Deputy Commissioner Ron Epstein who highlighted our conference opening session. We are fortunate to have the Department as a strong partner in our efforts to address the needs not only of the local transportation system but of the statewide system as a whole.”

Davis was appointed Public Works Commissioner in 2010.
