You can call it a different kind of "Black Friday" sale.

The Oneida Square Project is hosting over 50 families today for their fourth annual "Black Friday Sale" for Families.

The gym at Plymouth Bethesda and Cornerstone Community Church on Plant Street in Utica was transformed into a toy store, where families could shop for 1 to 3 gifts for each children on their list at 80 percent off the retail price.

All of the toys were donated.

The Oneida Square Project also provided gift wrapping and refreshments while shoppers waited in line.

Event organizers call the event a hand up versus a hand out.
