Police: Upstate NY Man Dies From Heart Attack Shoveling Snow
SCOTIA, N.Y. (AP) — Police in the New York village of Scotia say a 70-year-old man has died after suffering a heart attack as he shoveled snow.
Police said a crew plowing snow for the village found Frank Demasi lying on the stairs of his home Monday morning.
Authorities say he was believed to have gone outside Sunday evening to shovel snow when he was stricken at some point.
Police say an autopsy Monday determined that he had died of a heart attack.
Scotia, part of the town of Glenville, is located across the Mohawk River from the city of Schenectady.
