Rome Man Killed In Snowmobile Accident
A Rome man is dead following a snowmobile accident on a trail near the intersection of Humaston Road in Rome.
The Oneida County Sheriff's Office says 38-year old MIchael Hrim went over a snowbank and his snowmobile became airborne.
Hrim was ejected from the sled and struck a fence and trees.
He was taken to Rome Hospital where he died.
Deputies say it appears that excessive speed was a factor in the accident.
