Sherrill Man Killed In Herkimer County Plane Crash

The investigation is continuing into a fatal plane crash in the Herkimer County Town of Webb.

State Police say 76-year old Schiele Brewer of Sherrill crashed his single-engine plane in the Stillwater Reservoir Thursday afternoon.

The plane was located in about seven feet of water.

Police say the crash site was accessed by vessels operated by NYS Forest Rangers and the Lewis County Sheriff's Department.

Brewer was found dead inside the aircraft.

The FAA and State Police are investigating.
