Newark, NJ (WIBX) - Syracuse University guard Dion Waiters didn't have to wait long for his name to be called in last night's NBA Draft.

He was taken with the fourth overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Waiters was a sophomore at Syracuse last season.

He averaged 12.6 points for the Orange and was also recognized with the Big East's "Sixth Man of the Year" award.

Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics took former SU players Fab Mello with the 22nd pick and Kris Joseph at number 51.
