Utica Fire Department Adds Six New Recruits

The Utica Fire Department  is adding to its ranks.

Six new firefighters were sworn-in by Mayor Robert Palmeiri at City Hall this morning.

Assistant Fire Chief George Clark says the new recruits are an important addition to the force.

All six firefighters are Utica residents.

They'll begin a 14-week training program at the Utica Fire Academy on Monday.
