Utica Man Pleads Guilty To Child Pornography Charges

A Utica man has pleaded guilty to receipt and possession of child pornography.

The U.S Attorney's Office says as part of his guilty plea, 57-year old James Caruso admitted that he purchased and received images and videos of child pornography from an overseas website.

Authorities say a search of Caruso's laptop computer revealed that he possessed 131 videos and 32 images depicting child porn.

He faces 5 years to 20 years in prison on the receipt count and up to 20 years in prison on the possession count.

Caruso will be sentenced on November 7th.
