The home of the Rome Police Department and City Court has a new name.

The Daniel C. Wilson Center for justice was dedicated to Judge Wilson for his 30 plus years as Rome City Court Judge.

Wilson said he was shocked and humbled when he first saw his name on the building.

He added that it is a great honor and shows how much the Justice system means to the City of Rome.

Wilson served behind the bench from 1978 until his retirement in January of this year.
