Utica, NY (WIBX) - Voters took the opportunity to cast their ballots during today's elections.

At the North Utica Senior Center, volunteers are seeing the highest turnout they've ever had.

Roy Murley was one of those voters.

"I think that our country has been going to the dogs under Obama, so I voted for Romney to get us back on track to being America again," Murley said.

Others, like Katie Gleitsmann, say every vote counts, even in states where the race might already be decided.

"It's going to be a really close race," Gleitsmann said. "Even though you can say New York is a Democratic state, you really don't know who's going to win. I think that's the biggest issue for this race, and that's really why people should go out and vote."

Live coverage of this year's election can be heard on WIBX, starting at 9 p.m.
