Which Local Village Made the List of ‘Best Places to Buy A House’ in NY?

The 2018 list of 'Best Places to Buy a House' is out and and handful of local towns north of New York City made the list; but, only one scored in the 'Top 50,' according to Niche.com. The list methodology considers available properties, school district ratings, home prices and crime statistics , among other factors, to compile the ranking.  Clinton ranked 50th in New York State out of 803 New York housing markets with an overall Niche grade of an A. With a population of 1,967 people, the home of Hamilton College, Clinton has a median home value of $183,200 and a median household income of $52,350.

Clark Mills, Washington Mills, New Hartford, Whitesboro, and Kirkland also made the 2018 list of Best Places to Buy.
