Yorkville Man Sentenced In Stabbing Death Of His Brother

A Yorkville man will spend 20 years in state prison for the stabbing death of his brother.

38-year old John Ferguson was sentenced on Monday in Oneida County Court.

Ferguson was found guilty after a seven-day trial in March of first-degree manslaughter in the stabbing death of his brother, Daryl Ferguson during a physical altercation last July.

He was also sentenced to two to six years for criminal possession of a weapon and five years post-release supervision.
