Breaking News: Destito Leaving Assembly

Utica, NY (WIBX) - Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito has been appointed the Commissioner of the New York State Office of General Services by Governor Andrew Cuomo.

This means Destito will give up her 116th district Assembly seat and that vacancy will be filled with a special election.

Destito has served in the Assembly since 1992.
