CHAUTAUQUA, N.Y. (AP) — The Chautauqua Institution's 123-year-old amphitheater has been demolished to make way for a new venue that leaders say will have a similar feel but be safer and more accessible.
Years after floods heavily damaged dozens of properties in the City of Binghamton, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has come through with a $2.7 million grant to buy and demolish the properties.
A reminder to all who may be traveling through downtown Utica this Sunday morning, several streets and highways will be closed while the demolition of the Fay Street Warehouse is taking place.
