13 Year Old Student Struck By Vehicle At School Bus Stop

A 13-year old student was injured after being struck by a car the intersection of Glenmore road and Glen Ridge Drive in the Town of Annsville on Thursday morning.

State Police say the girl was walking towards a Camden Central School District School Bus, which was stationary and had its red lights and stop signs out.

Troopers say a vehicle being driven 39-year old Christy Vongkhamchanh of Taberg failed to stop for the school bus, striking the student on the passenger's side of the vehicle.

The teen struck the lower passenger side of the windshield, and was transported to St. Elizabeth Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Vongkhamchanh was tickets for failure to stop for a school bus and speeding.
