ONEIDA, N.Y. (AP) — One of two teenagers charged with stabbing a central New York man to death during a fight last year has pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

Prosecutors in Madison County say 16-year-old Jordan Warner, of Oneida, pleaded guilty this week to a felony assault charge in the killing of 35-year-old Francis Borasky.

Warner and 17-year-old Isaac Cantu, of Oneida, were initially charged with second-degree murder, manslaughter and assault after Borasky died during a large fight near his Oneida home last Sept. 18.

Borasky was the father of two sons and worked in the maintenance department at Syracuse University.

Officials say Warner has agreed to cooperate with prosecutors in the case against Cantu.

In return for his plea, Warner will be sentenced to four years in state prison.
