AUBURN, N.Y. (AP) — Police say they've seized more than 200 bags of heroin during a raid on a hotel room in the Finger Lakes region.

Officials in the Cayuga County city of Auburn tell local media that members of a drug task force executed a search warrant Wednesday at the Scottish Inn and Suites and found 237 bags of heroin in one of the rooms.

Authorities say the 27-year-old man who was living in the room has been charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The bust came a day after Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced he's adding 100 investigators to the New York State Police narcotics unit to combat the rise of heroin use.
