Seeking a minimum wage of $15 an hour, thousands of baggage handlers and other airport workers are on strike at seven of the busiest airports in the United States.

The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) says about two thousand workers are part of the strike.

The walkout is taking place in Boston, Chicago, Fort Lauderdale, New Jersey, New York, and Philadelphia.

Using the social media hashtags #Strike4Families and #PovertyDoesntFly, protestors argue that labor practices at airports throughout the country are unfair.

As of this posting about 680 flights are on delay throughout the United States.  There is no word on whether or not the strike is directly impacting those flights.
