Utica's ALS Walk is coming back, thanks to a partnership between ALS of Utica and Sitrin Healthcare.

The Sand Dollar Stroll will take place on Saturday, May 20th at the Utica College Sports Dome.  The event will include a two-mile walk and a silent auction.

Sherry DePerno, Executive Director of ALS of Utica, says she always hoped someone would come forward to help bring back the event, which was last held in 2014.

“Sitrin is honored to collaborate with ALS of Utica to pick up where it left off and together, reinvent this cherished local event,” said Christa Serafin, Sitrin president and CEO. “We are very grateful for this opportunity and look forward to helping even more families affected by ALS and Huntington’s Disease through this partnership.”

Proceeds from the event will benefit ALS of Utica and Sitrin's NeuroCare Program for individuals with ALS and Huntington's Disease.

The ALS Walk has raised more than $750,000 over its ten-year history.
