The impending end of CBS staple 'How I Met Your Mother' will surely allow stars Cobie Smulders, Neil Patrick Harris, Josh Radnor and Jason Segel to achieve even greater heights than over the past nine years, but fellow series star Alyson Hannigan doesn't mind staying right where she is. The erstwhile Lily has signed on for another CBS pilot 'More Time With Family,' albeit under the impressive producing banner of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Headed by comedian Tom Papa, Hannigan's 'More Time with Family' role will see the one-time 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' star in the role of Cindy, Papa's character's wife. Based off Papa’s standup and Matt Damon’s own experiences, multicamera 'More Time with Family' sees a man change his career and give up a life on the road to spend more time with his titular family, only to realize no one necessarily wanted him to in the first place.

Papa and Damon developed the project working together on ‘Behind the Candelabra,’ turning to Cathy Yuspa and Josh Goldsmith as co-writers with Affleck’s Pearl Street Films on board to executive produce. Of course, we wouldn't be entirely surprised if CBS wanted to keep at least one 'How I Met Your Mother' player close to the chest, now that Greta Gerwig has signed on for the lead role in forthcoming spinoff 'How I Met Your Dad.'

Well, what do you think? Should Alyson Hannigan have left sitcoms behind, or will she be right at home once again as a CBS mother enduring 'More Time with Family'?
