Are ‘Fat Jokes’ Off Limits?

Two broadcasters are being criticized for comments they made about a popular singer who may be struggling with weight control issues.

Fox News' Christopher Wallace and radio host Mike Gallagher made some disparaging remarks about Kelly Clarkson, Wallace commenting specifically that perhaps the 32-year-old should "stay off of the deep dish pizza for a while."

He has since apologized.  And, although Clarkson herself has not yet commented some are calling foul, saying that Wallace and Gallagher should have known better, and that a woman's waistline is no place for a joke.

Did they indeed cross the line or are we too sensitive?
