Chittenango Man Charged With Stealing A Rifle

A Chittenango man has been arrested for allegedly stealing a rifle.

The Madison County Sheriff's Office says 53-year old Robert Parrow entered a building in the Town of Sullivan and stole a 22 caliber rifle.

Parrow is charged with burglary, grand larceny, criminal possession of stolen property and criminal possession of a weapon.

Police say they found the stolen rifle at Parrow’s apartment.

Officials say Parrow had been convicted of numerous felony offenses making it illegal for him to possess a firearm.

State Police assisted the Sheriff's Office in their investigation.
