CNY Kennel Club to Present UPD with Bulletproof Vests for K9s

The Central New York Kennel Club will present the Utica Police Department with bullet resistant vests for the department's two K-9 officers.

The officers do not have bullet or knife-resistant vests and, learning this, the Kennel Club became concerned for the safety of the dogs after FBI K9 Ape was shot and killed in the Herkimer Shooting that took place last year.
