Dow Jones Industrial Average Finishes At Highest Level In Five Years

The Dow Jones Industrials closed at 14018.70, closing at its highest mark in more than five years.

The last time the Dow closed above 14,000 was on October 9, 2007.  Two days later it experienced its highest trading level ever at 14164.53.

The S&P 500 closed at 1519.  The NASDAQ was down six points to 3186.

The New York Stock Exchange opened on a less historical note this morning,  celebrating finalists in the Lay's "Do Us a Flavor" Contest with Brian Cornell, Christina Abu-Judom, Tyler Raineri, Indra Nooyi, Karen Weber-Mendham, Eva Longoria, and Michael Simon in attendance.
