Netflix is boasting a twenty-two percent increase in quarterly revenue.

The second quarter, company officials say, is usually a weaker quarter for Netflix. An increase in the number of service subscribers, driven by quality content, is being credited as being part of the reason for the company's Q2 success.

Specifically cited were original Netflix series "House of Cards" and "Orange is the New Black."

Reed Hastings, Netflix's Co-Founder and CEO touts the service's affordability for the average consumer and says, "That's part of what's propelling our growth."

As of this posting Netflix is trading at just over $109 per share on the NASDAQ.
