Earth Wind & Fire To Play Free Concert at The New York State Fair
The soul superstars famous for hits such as 'September' and 'Shining Star' will be making their New York State Fair debut this summer for free!
Acting Fair Director, Troy Waffner, announced on Wednesday that one of the biggest and best bands of all-time will be coming to the Chevy Court stage. Earth, Wind & Fire will play all of their biggest hits on Sunday, August 27th, 2017 starting at 8 p.m.
Earth, Wind & Fire got their start back in 1969 and since then has released 23 albums, earned eight #1 R&B singles, sold 90 million albums worldwide and still continues to entertain audiences big and small every day.
Troy Waffner says, "We're honored to host Earth, Wind & Fire at the Fair for the very first time. It's hard to believe they've never performed here before, but that just makes this show even more special. They're a major part of what I believe is the greatest, most diverse Chevy Court lineup in our history." So far the lineup for the Chevy Court free shows includes:

- 3 Doors Down, 8 pm, August 23
- Chevelle, 8 pm, August 24
- The Fabulous Thunderbirds, 2 pm, August 25
- The Beach Boys, 7 pm, August 25
- Peter Noone, 2 pm, August 28
- Kansas, 8 pm, August 28
- The Marshall Tucker Band, 2 pm, August 29
- Taylor Dayne, 2 pm, August 30
- LeAnn Rimes, 8 pm, August 31
- Spin Doctors, 2 pm, September 3
The New York State Fair, operated by the New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets, runs from August 23 to September 4, 2017. The Fair's mission, reflected in its theme, "FIND YOUR GREAT," is to showcase the best of New York agriculture while providing top-quality entertainment.
