Edmeston Man Charged With Animal Cruelty
An Edmeston man has been charged with animal cruelty after Troopers found over two dozen dead cows at a rented dairy farm on Route 20 in Edmeston.
45-year old James Mumbulo is facing 27 counts of overdriving, torturing and injuring animals under the New York Agriculture and Markets Law.
State Police were called to the barn to check the welfare of several animals.
They found 27 cow carcasses and several inches of manure. Troopers also discovered there was no water or food in the barn.
After consulting with a veterinarian and the District Attorney's office, Mumbulo was arrested.
