Photography-Inclined Elephant Grabs Tourist’s Camera to Take an ‘Elfie’
Ladies and gentlemen, may we introduce the "elfie."
Canadian Christian LeBlanc, 22, was in Thailand when an elephant grabbed his GoPro camera, which was set to continuously shoot, and snapped a photo of them. It's a selfie by an elephant, thus the clever wordplay behind the phrase "elfie." Or is it "elphie?"
LeBlanc isn't so sure if the cool moment was even an accident. "Elephants are incredibly intelligent, and it definitely makes you wonder if it was a conscious action," he said.
The photo was actually taken in March, but has only caught the attention of the internet in the last week or so.
Considering the range elephants have, perhaps they ought to get into the photography business. And take more selfies, just so we can see if they have junk in their trunk.
