Facebook Founder and Wife Make $5 Million Donation to Help Undocumented Immigrants Achieve ‘The Dream’
A social media giant and his wife are hoping that a large donation of cash will help undocumented immigrants achieve their dreams in the United States.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan are donating five million dollars to TheDream.us scholarship fund.
Via a post on his own Facebook page Zuckerberg says, "America was founded as a nation of immigrants. We ought to welcome smart and hardworking young people from every nation, and to help everyone in our society achieve their full potential. If we help more young immigrants climb the ladder to new opportunities, then our country will make greater progress."
The money, he says, is intended to create scholarships for four hundred immigrants living in the San Francisco Bay Area.
