Fatal Motorcycle Accident Being Investigated In Town Of Sullivan

The Madison County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal motorcycle crash in the Town of Sullivan.

According to law enforcement, deputies responded to the scene on Fyler Road Friday evening.

Deputies say, the driver was identified as 24-year-old Michael Eighmey of Pompey, NY.

Witnesses say, Eighmey was traveling westbound on Fyler at a high rate of speed and "popped a wheelie" for a period of time.

When Eighmey set the front wheel down, he lost control and struck a tree. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
